There’s tons of useful crime prevention advice on the internet. The best comes from the NSW Police and we’ll point you to their website every time.

How Safe is My Place?
Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) NSW has a fun, interactive, family-friendly app designed to help you learn how to make your home more secure from break-in.
Their online “How Safe Is My Place” tool [UNDER CONSTRUCTION] asks you a series of questions to get you thinking about the security of your home, coupled with hints and tips for things you can actively do to reduce the risk of your home being broken into and thieves stealing your stuff.
The quiz is based on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles. And it’s not just about installing security equipment. Crime prevention can be as simple as putting a piece of dowel in the track of your sliding door.
